This streamlining helps the MSZ-006A1 Zeta Plus outperform the Zeta Gundam in atmospheric combat scenarios. These units would remain in Federation service well into the 0090s, as this HGUC rendition builds into the MSZ-006A1 Zeta Plus as seen in theMobile Suit Gundam Unicornanimated series.
